Intervention

An intervention is a planned attempt to get a loved one into treatment for their mental health, and or substance abuse problem. An Intervention Specialist can help to disrupt the typical family dynamic and drastically improve the chances of someone obtaining the treatment they need.
Substance abuse and mental health affect a person’s entire family. Many times people struggling with these challenges are unable to see their situation and problems clearly. They may not even realize the extent to what they are hurting their loved ones through the process of watching their self-destructive behavior. Most people get help for their problems after some type of a life changing event. An intervention is an attempt to create an event that will motivate a person toward treatment through an emotional and loving experience rather than an unwanted accident or other traumatic incident.
